Luckily the flight on the way back to JFK was on time so we didn’t have to hang out at the sky club or terminal for too long. The seating arrangement was also better since there were no large strangers sitting next to us this time. To top it off, the view was a lot better leaving Orlando than it was leaving New York the week before.
This time around we actually got real beverage service since it was less turbulent. Ont he downside, the snacks they had were pretty pathetic. There were some strange Delta cookies and some really terrible pretzels. Flying Delta in coach seems to be a lot rougher than flying American Airlines where the snacks are at least edible. On the way down to New York the views were pretty good but as I wasn’t in a window seat, it was pretty tough to get some good pictures.
Overall, the Delta coach flight experience was not really that great. It got me to where I wanted to go but that’s about it. Given the choice, I would rather pay more to fly nonstop with United from Newark or American Airlines from JFK instead of flying Delta. I guess I should just be lucky I didn’t fly them from LaGuardia.
